The kids enjoyed floating around on a tube.
Getting ready to take off
Andrew and Bella
Last weekend we traveled up to Fennville, MI with 3 other couples and kids to enjoy a long weekend on Hutchins Lake. We had a great weekend hanging out, playing cards, eating good food, and sitting around a campfire talking. The kids enjoyed playing, swimming, looking for shells at the sandbar, and riding on the boats. By the end of the day the kids crashed into bed, exhausted from a good day of playing. Jay did some tubing with the other guys, and both Jay and I were able to ski. We hope to make this a summer tradition!
This week Jenny began swim lessons through the park district. I'm not too confident that she is actually going to learn anything, but since Aunt Joni is 2,000 miles away, we had to settle. Fortunately, she had "real" swim lessons last year and hopefully we can build on what Aunt Joni taught her last summer.
Andrew continues to grow. He loves to climb. The other day I found him on top of the dining room table, quite proud of himself. He loves to be outside. Unfortunately, he also likes to make a run for the road whenever he spies an opportunity. He definitely keeps us on our toes and he makes us laugh.
